The experience for designing agents offers a low-risk, in-client environment for envisioning and prototyping new AI agents tailored to your own business scenarios—extending the same agent runtime capabilities used by built-in agents.

Built for rapid iteration, it lets you design and refine agents using guided wizards and natural language instructions, define their behavior, test agent profiles and permissions, troubleshoot, and safely run and experiment with Business Central data in a sandbox environment.

This approach empowers partner personas like consultants, product owners, and domain experts, as well as developers and even power users, to explore new scenarios, validate ideas, and build confidence in their agents before moving to implementing the agents in AL and deploy them in extensions. Available for Sandbox environments for all editions starting from Update 27.4 for Dynamics 365 Business Central 2025 Release Wave 2.
